Whether you are a doctoral researcher, postdoctoral scholar, or early career academic, we invite you to connect, share your work, and grow alongside colleagues from around the world.
The Early Career Prison Researchers and International Scholars Organised Network brings together emerging scholars from around the world to foster collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge exchange in prison research. Through an inclusive and supportive community, we aim to strengthen international connections, amplify diverse perspectives, and contribute to meaningful scholarship and practice.
We welcome doctoral researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and early career academics whose work engages with prisons, incarceration, prison life, prison policy, prison health, prison environments, and wider carceral questions. We value interdisciplinary research and international perspectives.
Emerging scholars working on prisons often benefit from spaces that foster dialogue, connection, and shared learning across institutions, disciplines, and national contexts. This network aims to support that work through community and collaboration.
Our growing community includes members based across multiple countries and contexts, reflecting the international and interdisciplinary character of the network.
